Tina & The Valley  of Fire

Tina is a life model based in Las Vegas. She is an art school model as well as photo model. She is a beautiful, smart and witty young lady with tons of talent and willing to try almost anything. Tina was a last minute joyful photo shoot before I headed back home to Cleveland. In the end this distinguished older photographer  (me) was able to wear her out.

THE CABINS

Funny story about this shot. I was doing the sequence image in the cabins above and had not yet finished when a car drove up and a couple got out. Tina quickly put on clothes. It was getting dark and I was quickly loosing light so I went up to the couple and asked if they would mind if I finished my sequence with a nude model. They were fine with that. When I finished I asked if I could take their pic with their camera, they loved it and asked if I wanted to take some images with the model and their new Corvette.  They were a charming young couple from England just visiting Las Vegas for a few days.

Another little story about this shot. It is flaming steel wool on a chain swinging around Tina's body. You have to be careful not to burn the model (so far it has never happened) but you must also be careful not to start a major fire. I purposely chose this rocky location for it's lack of vegetation. With that being said there were a few dried up bushes in the crevices and they immediately caught on fire. Like I said I checked out the area first so I was positive that the fire could not spread. It is a good idea to take a fire extinguisher along just in case. BE CAREFUL!
